Haslar Chooses QuantumMay 15th 2016
Dean & Reddyhoff’s Haslar Marina in Portsmouth has become the first marina in the UK to install Rolec’s new Quantum Service Pedestal range, as part of its £1.5million refurbishment project.
Haslar is Dean & Reddyhoff’s largest marina with 600 berths and has recently installed 150 of Rolec’s innovative anodised aluminium Quantum Pedestals onto its pontoon system.
Martin Georgeson, Rolec’s Sales Director, commented: “We’re delighted that our new Quantum Pedestal range has been chosen by Haslar Marina as part of its refurbishment programme.
“During the development of Quantum we undertook a feasibility study with many of the UK’s leading Marina Managers to get a feel for what they considered to be the perfect service pedestal. As a result Quantum, with its clean, sleek lines, was developed to incorporate a variety of key features - including customised sizes and colours, anodised aluminium exterior finish, LED lighting, anti-light polluting louvres, IP65 rated weather proofing, and internal electric/water segregation.
“The Quantum Pedestal is highly versatile and can be manufactured to provide a range of services, including supplying electricity/water/lighting, emergency services, sanitation pump out, electrical distribution systems, pier identification, etc.”
In addition to supplying the Quantum Pedestals, Rolec also undertook the design and installation of the electrical distribution system, water system, marina lighting and emergency services.
Ben Lippiett, Haslar’s Marina Manager, commented: ‘We are thrilled to be rolling out the Quantum pedestals - they are well built and look superb on the marina.”
