HASLAR MARINA
We first started working with boatfolk in the early 2000s as they started to build their network of innovative UK boating locations. Now, they boast a network of 11 marinas across the UK, with facilities to engage every kind of boater out there.
Situated in some of the most popular cruising waters in the world, Haslar Marina has provided entertainment, leisure and fine dining experiences to their community of berth owners and visitors in Portsmouth for years.
SCOPE
Having used Rolec for their previous services, the team at boatfolk reached out to us to handle installation of new hardware on the Solent. In order to meet the needs of their residential and visitor berths, they required a solution that was both reliable and flexible to their needs. With increased visibility for both site management and guests that optimised peak usability.
Additionally, they wanted to include on-site electric vehicle charging facilities for visitors to the site. With the goal of making it more accessible to customers looking to travel eco-consciously, as well as providing charging facilities at their two onsite restaurants. All of this whilst also being able to withstand the harsh conditions of a waterfront location.
SOLUTION
As part of an ambitious project to develop Haslar Marina’s existing piers, we worked alongside the team at boatfolk to provide a dual hardware and software solution. Introducing our new Quantum pedestals throughout the marina, with supporting cable routes to allow connection to our BerthMaster smart service management and operating system.
Due to our advanced knowledge across both the marina and EV industries, we were able to simultaneously provide Haslar with a robust and futureproof charging network for the use of employees and visitors at their onsite car park.
To support this, the design and installation of the site’s electrical and cable systems was by our experienced team of engineers, who have been the marina’s first point of contact for upgrades, repairs and installations for years.
