BRISTOL HARBOUR
Bristol Harbour is a 70-80 acre body of water stretching through the city centre. After being transformed into a ‘floating harbour’ in 1700s, it has since become the city’s cultural hub.
Surrounded by cafes, restaurants and historical attractions, it welcomes visitors throughout the year and has become home to many residents who have moored along its 7-mile length.

As part of a site-wide upgrade, the team at Bristol Harbour reached out to Rolec as a trusted Marina Services partner to replace their water and electricity supplies with up-to-date technology reflective of the harbour’s ever evolving demands.
All these upgrades needed to be implemented in a timely and efficient manner to ensure a seamless transition for visitors and residents. As well as providing an easy-to-use smart metering system, delivering accurate and reliable usage data and billing for both customers and the operational team. This gives visitors full transparency over electricity and water consumption, as well as helping to reduce overall energy costs.

Rolec facilitated a comprehensive renewal of Bristol Harbour’s service hardware, across eight sites. Installing a total of 177 joint electrical and water hookups, including:

• Arnolfini 2 Classic Pedestals and 1 Waste Pump Out Pedestal
The entire network of service pedestals is equipped with sophisticated Metpow software, providing operators with full visibility over energy usage and accurate MID-approved metering for customers — delivering a cost-effective solution for all service users.
Collaborating with the Bristol Harbour and Metpow teams proved highly effective, combining the client’s clear vision with Rolec’s commitment to guiding the project from start to finish, enabling a seamless upgrade across all sites.
