Rolec EV's Partner, Zero Carbon World, Supports Student EV TrialJuly 15th 2012
Zero Carbon World, a partner of Rolec Services Ltd, were more than happy to accompany a budding science student on his journey from Muncaster Castle, near Ravenglass, to Dartmoor, driving the Vauxhall Ampera electric vehicle supplied by ZCW.
Mr Charlie Roberts, a representative of ZCW, accompanied the student during his journey, which provided extensive information relating to the current EV charging infrastructure, and the various EV charging stations which could be utilised during the journey. Numerous EV charging stations along the way were from the Rolec EV WallPod range and in a bid to boost the EV industry, have been supplied free of charge by ZCW in order to increase the number of EV charging locations in the UK.
The feedback received from both the student, and Mr Roberts, confirms that it is now possible to undertake extensive electric vehicle journeys throughout the UK and the exercise also highlighted the financial cost savings associated with electric vehicle travel as well as the obvious environmental benefits.
Rolec EV is proud to partner ZCW in their quest to increase the number of EV charging stations in the UK, and feel this latest news regarding a 390-mile journey, clearly highlights the extreme promise that the EV industry holds.
